Location:
Point Clear is a coastal village on the Point Clear Bay peninsula. The property backs onto the water at 'Ray Creek', which forms part of the Colne Estuary. Seabreeze House is located toward the end of Colne View an unassuming cul-de-sac. Brightlingsea is just across the water and can be accessed by foot ferry (3 mins), which then goes onto East Mersea (8 mins). The historic village of St Osyth is within 2.5 miles. The large town of Colchester with all the usual amenities expected lies approximately 13 miles away.
Owner’s comments – ‘Life at The Seabreeze’:
We moved to this hidden gem from London back in 2006 and have loved every minute of living here! Our kids grew up with the freedom and safety of the secure private beach just at the bottom of our garden, kayaking to the sandbank with friends after school, watching the seals and porpoises, and trying out different water sports, such as sailing, wakeboarding and windsurfing.
Some of the best weekend parties to be had camping on the beach with lots of friends, sitting by the fire under the stars and roasting marshmallows in a safe and secure environment. We very much enjoyed having our speedboat moored at the bottom of our garden too - ready to go! Collecting our own oysters on the sandbank just across the water with a chilled bottle of bubbly on the boat has been our favourite pastime when we get a spare hour during the day to enjoy on the water. Fishing for seabass just in the lagoon to throw on the barbecue has also been a great success over the years.
This place is a lifestyle choice, with the sea at the bottom of your garden and the privilege of private and totally secure beach access. Spectacular sunsets and breath-taking sea views, wildlife, fresh oysters and samphire on your doorstep create your own private little world - away from it all!

This is one of the best airbnbs I've stayed in!
The property views are insanely beautiful, it's super spacious and peaceful there, it's surrounded by greenery with water views. There's plenty to do there- private outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, BBQ, board games, lots of outdoor space to relax, private land directly behind to go for a walk. Kayaks are on offer too to use. Fully equipped kitchen with bottle of fizz in the fridge when we arrived. The property is easy and quick to get to via London by train with a short taxi ride.
Julia was super helpful and responsive to any questions during our stay, we arranged a supermarket order of food to be delivered which they took down to the property for us. Check in and out is straight forward and easy.
